Meet the Band

Alex, our bandleader, composer, and drummer, is from Cambridge. A skilled musician with vast experience in various musical genres, his musical journey has taken him through traditional brass bands, jazz bands, orchestras, and diverse musical groups. He has played across Europe, including performances in Lithuania, Austria, and Italy.

The concept behind Point Blanc Brass was sparked by a simple request for Alex to put together a band for a parent of one of his drum students’ 40th birthday party. This humble beginning paved the way for the band’s formation, and kickstarted an exciting musical journey.

When he isn’t playing, composing or arranging, Alex teaches surfing and is a qualified RLSS Beach Lifeguard and Level 1 Surfing England Surf Instructor.
